Efficient cooling of the heating element by an aluminum cast heat sink.
To enhance the efficiency of heat sink functions using aluminum castings, more complex and thinner shapes are achieved through sand casting to maximize the aluminum surface area. Shapes that are difficult to form with castings (such as those requiring sand cores or holes that cannot be machined) can also be formed using pipes of the same material.
